"Teen Mom's" Gary Shirley and Amber Portwood.
"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood is facing felony and misdemeanor charges for domestic violence, but that doesn't seem to be stopping her from lashing out.
A source told Radar Online that Portwood wanted to make ex-fiance Gary Shirley admit to stringing her and his girlfriend, Ashley, along on Tuesday night. "Amber said Gary was sending her flowers and texting her, saying he hadn't been talking to Ashley," a source told the gossip site.
"Once they got to Gary's house, Amber hit Gary for trying to play both of them," the source told Radar.
But Shirley wasn't her only target, according to the source. "When Amber learned that Gary was still communicating with Ashley, she got in Ashley's face like she was going to hit her."
A September episode of the MTV program showed Portwood repeatedly slapping, punching and kicking Shirley. If she's convicted, she faces up to $10,000 in fines and three years in jail.

Imagine if we never had MTV - ever? What a better country we would have been. It started innocently enough in the early 80's but then morphed into 'you had to be a badass wannabee jailhouse culture, white trash or pregnant by 16'.
Say what you want - I think we have too many rights. Everyone believes they can be the biggest reprobate they want to be but they are protected under first amendment rights.
I like to imagine this....quite often. I'll day dream for hours about how wonderful the world would be today without Kurt Loder, The Real World or the Jersey Shore cast. In this day dream world, all the money spent hyping up these crappy shows was spent on helping feed the hungry and cure the sick. AIDS was eradicated, all cancers were cured - and American's tested the highest across all subjects.
People like her are yet another prime example of why this country needs licenses to breed. Now she's spread her stupid genes to her offspring. She's looking at 3 years and she doesn't learn anything? What a moron. Doesn't say much for the moron that impregnated her either.
Enough with the stupid people breeding.
I just read two days ago on the huffington post that she was pregnant again with some ultimate fighter dudes baby.
I'd love to see her hit one of those guys.
Not only is she stupid and violent, she is really unattractive. Yuck!
But, he definetely is no catch either! Both are so stupid, I feel like hitting both.
No doubt about that. They're probably about equal in unattractiveness which would make them a good match if not for the domestic violence. If he was rich or something he could get someone better but he isn't.
So sad. He is as bad as she is. They need to take the child from both of them and place it with people who will care for it. MTV needs to quit paying these teens huge money, and then lets just see how many really want the world to know how hard it is to be young and raising a child. Amber has mental issue's and gary is just plain lazy.. Get jobs people and raise your kids.I hope the people that are on the show dont get welfare or help from goverment in any way. Is it any wonder, hey get knockup at 16 or so then you can be on MTV and get some money..Geezeeee

I'm sorry..... She's 'famous' for having gotten knocked up and now she's a 'rolemodel' for other kids who watch her? Not even going into the issue that she doesn't know what being a MOTHER is all about....?
I guess I missed the boat on that one and failed to get knocked up when I was a teenager. Either that or my parents raised me right.
Yeah, I don't know if that's the purpose of this show. To me, these people are white trash and watching this show is just like watching Maury Povich or Jerry Springer or something. They aren't role models, just entertainment. I doubt most kids even consider these people role models so it probably doesn't negatively affect society in that way. What it does do though is normalize this type of behavior and that isn't good for society at large.
What this guy needs to do is knock her out when she hits him. She won't come back for more.
Gary seems to have enough money to keep himself fat as a pig, go on dates, buy flowers for the nut he impregnated! On the show, he also drove a very nice vehicle - big and comfortable for his obese frame.
Amber too drove a nice car. Where does this money come from? Do they actually have a job?
What is wrong with the Child Protective Services and the court system that allowed that child to be placed back in Amber's custody? This is a terrible tragedy which is only going to get worse. Someone, please step in and get that child out of there - so many childless couples would love that little girl and possibly could give her a loving, normal life where she would be able to forget the horrific early years of her life with the those two nut cases.
I thought Gary had a job though it doesn't take much income to keep him fat. Amber is pretty much living off Uncle Sugar.

She probably thinks she is a big TV star and the network will get her off.
She is simply white trash...and it makes for great TV drama...the more you watch the more she will act out...some people do not have the maturity level to handle the spotlight, and it is too obvious that she has none!

why didnt mtv just stick to the videos.. they had to do these wanna be reality shows..they are ridiculous. she deserves what she deserves. stupid girl.
Good Lord, I feel so sorry for that poor baby. She doesn't deserve the rollercoaster of a childhood that lies ahead for her. To hell with Amber and Gary, let's do something to help LEAH.

Being a parent is a privilege and every child a gift. It should not be an opportunity to turn a profit. It is hard enough being a kid in this crazy world. Shame on MTV.

I feel bad for the child involved in all of this. She is an innocent and doesn't deserve the cameras rolling all the time, nor does she deserve to have her parents fighting on national tv where her mother emasculates her father on a regular basis while the father acts like a chump and takes it.
The media is glorifying teen pregnancy and I am tired of it. I would like to see some shame brought back into our society. Remember when getting pregnant before you graduated was SHAMEFUL? Or even before marriage? I sure know that I was made to feel ashamed for MY choices when I wound up pregnant at 16 in 1999/2000. I certainly never acted like these girls. I don't watch the show, and I wouldn't want to. Reading these "articles" is more than enough for me to see just how desperate and starved for attention these girls were/are and WHY they got pregnant in the first place.
Stupid, naive, attention-starved, narcissistic, fame-seeking brats. I sure hope MTV is saving some of the profits of this show for family and individual counseling for the children of these shows.
