If you're still a bit icked out by our previous posts about little 2-year-old Mia who strutted her stuff on stage in Madonna's cone-bra costume and the mom who admitted she wanted a daughter just to enter her in pageants, make sure you sit down for this one. We've got yet another shocking "Toddlers & Tiaras" clip for you.
On Wednesday's episode of the TLC reality show, 5-year-old Alexis gets her eyebrows waxed. And by the way she screams, it's clear she's had it done before -- with awful results.
"She had a bad experience ... the wax was way too hot, and it actually ripped off her skin," her mom explained on the show. "So she's been kinda terrified since then."
Gee. I guess that explains why Alexis wasn't too pleased to be going through it again, even with the bribe of candy afterward. What's worse, Mom tells the cameras, "Normally, I would just hold her down and ripped it off."

Child abuse anyone?
Big f*cking time child abuse!
WTF is wrong with these people???
These are your children not your barbie dolls!!
Where the hell is the father that he allows this sh*t???
They don't deserve those children... and are raising them to be vain, narcisistic, self-centered, shallow people, who will more than likely end up as plastic surgery riddled trophy wives, or strippers, or worse.
Pageant Moms... Idiots!
This is just AWFUL!!! I would NEVER subject my child to something that is obviously unnecessary and very painful! I had my eyebrows waxed for the 1st time when I was 18 and by choice!! I mean, IF she had a huge unibrow and was embarrassed by that and wanted to have this done, FINE, but you don't force a child to undergo painful experiences or procedures because you think it will make them look prettier!! These are NOT good life lessons that are being taught. Come on!!?? A 2 year old with cone bra outfit grinding to Madonna? Having babies for the pageant experience? That can't be real? The cutest and most beautiful kids I have ever seen are just as God made them...no make up, no fancy hairdos, no inappropriate outfits, no eyebrow waxing!! All a child really has to do is flash their happy, hopeful smiles and that makes them beautiful. I hope enough people call the number listed below and complain about this so this mother and any other mother who thinks this is okay will be stopped in their tracks! I think the child beauty pageant circuit needs a MAJOR OVERHAUL!!
Besides the sick mothers, does anyone else have a problem with the fact that some TV station actually airs this nonsense? Is there no end to what they will do to make money? Why don't we all just boycott the station entirely?
Ok, someone needs to call child protective services in their town and report this. Anyone can do it. Poor child.....
There is no doubt this is child abuse.
It needs to be reported to child protective services.
But if we all run around pointing fingers at TLC, the woman doing the waxing, the clothing designers...etc...we will get NOWHERE. Too many targets..just distracting. Pick one and go for it.
Do you really read the page long posts here? No...you don't...why...because they ramble on and on and on....
I can not believe that this society accepts this tourtour of our sweet babies!!!! That mother does not deserve to be a mom. She will hurt that child again and again to make her own dreams come true.
I'd say so - that was absolutely disgusting! I think CPS needs to step in here. What a horrible, horrible woman to do that to her child!!!
If this in not child abuse, what is? This so called 'mother' should be trashed for her part and also the one that administrated the abuse and everyone that filmed it!!! The poor, poor child! Furthermore, remove the child and have her placed with other family members until the mother learns and changes her attitude.
Sad. Yes - child abuse.
Exactly! Someone call child protective services and have that money put behind bars!
Meant to type 'mother', not money.
Freudian slip, perhaps?!
Slap on the wrist for even the beautician that did the wax!
I was thinking the exact same thing. I am an esthetician and I would hesitate to wax someone that young even if they wanted it done.
More like slap" a pair of handcuffs on the beautician.
I was wondering why the beautician didn't refuse to wax this poor girl's eyebrows. I'm sure it comes down to the almighty dollar... and a chance to be on TV.
Who is protecting this child? She obviously does not want to do this and is being forced. Where is child protective services regarding this industry.
That is just plain sick, and heartless!
unbelieveable ... waxing a five year olds eyebrows ... on national TV. WTF. What is this world coming to ...
Welcome to America... they give us the programming we want, clearly. And there are more than enough morons that actually watch this stuff.
BOYCOTT of TLC is needed, if the producers of this show have not turned over this tape to CPS they're an accessory to child abuse! This is not a medical procedure, this is not the same as having a child who is afraid of injections. This is not the same as dressing your child like a little toy prostitute to feed the vanity of the parent.
This is forcing unnecessary physical pain and mental abuse on a child!
@ascdallas: I agree with you 110%!! There are several shows on TLC that I enjoy, but this is one of those shows that should absolutely be taken off the air until there is a major overhaul of the child pageant circuit! I also feel it is their responsibility to turn over footage as evidence of this abuse, that way, CPS can decide if it is abuse or not. Even if all they do is let the mom know that this is technically abuse and she needs to stop this type of thing immediately, it will be worth it. Also, the same thing should happen with the stylist who agreed to wax her!! If a mom/dad took a toddler in to have something pierced or a tattoo, that artist would never agree to perform those services on a child. I know that may be an extreme example, but still. I don't think it would be any different if a parent brought their little girl in and demanded to have her head shaved against her will or something. I highly doubt the stylist would go for that. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB people!!
ascdallas... you people who call boycott at every outrage you've been conditioned to have by watching too much Nancy Grace really need to dial it down.
Without this tv show showing what's going on, there wouldn't be visibility of the problem. Regulation of the child pageant industry will come much quicker if people have evidence to cite when demanding its necessity.
Spend your outrage where it will make a difference. And that's not by using your remote to simply change channels & shove your head in the sand.

If you really want to do something to help email the sponsors of the show! They will respond to a loss of consumer dollars!
I agree partly with Boanerges, getting TLC to cancel the show will only hide the problem. Maybe because of the show, more people will see this outrage and put a stop to it. Legislation? Picketing? I don't know, but hiding it isn't the answer.
CHILD ABUSE on so many levels. How can anyone inflict pain upon their child. Oh wait this isn't a child, this a product for the mother to market and receive praise for herself!!! This is not a parent/child relationship. Where is the FATHER? Where is SCAN? SUSPECTED CHILD ABUSE? there is no suspicion its on national television. And if Utah can pursue the wierd multiple marriage case after watching, why can't this case be pursued?
TLC - I watch many of your shows but this is one that is just not appropriate and you do it all for a buck. You (TLC)are as guilty as the mother because you stand by and watch the abuse.
If a parent purposely burned their child to the point that skin was missing that is a legitimate Protective Services report...it should make no difference if the burn came from wax or other methods. This parent has gone too far.
I already don't watch TLC (don't have cable anyway) so sign me up!
Why in gods name do they have these stupid friggin beauty pageants for little kids? the crap these so called moms do to try to live their own pathetic lives through their own little girls, I agree that this is to an extent child abuse as it goes above and beyond what is reasonable for a 5 yeare old. If she was wanting this procedure done than that is one thing, but it looks pretty apparent that she did not want any part of that waxing. And the mom should be pretty ashamed of herself for putting the kid through that.
jammin jimmy- you and so many others hit the nail on the head! I have two children and my husband and I never even did the beautiful baby contests at our local businesses or anything because it in ouropinion teaches children from a young age to be shallow and superficial. This will likely lead to self loathing, low self-esteem, drug and alcohol abuse, and eating disorders just to name a few common problems that tend to run wild among these poor girls. I was never allowed to wear make-up until I was almost 15 years old. I don't think we need to teach our girls to cover their faces with a ton of make-up to be pretty. Don't get me wrong I love to wear make-up, but don't wear it on a daily basis, and don't think I have to have it to be the best I can be. You really have to question the motives of this mother. I highly doubt this child woke up that morning and asked to have her eyebrows ripped off her forehead! It has always been my opinion that pageant moms in general must have some serious issues in their lives to want to have a baby girls just to use them like living dolls. Further, on the subject of the Madonna outfit this little girl was put in and the way she was taught to dance, shameful, totally inappropriate!! Does anyone else see a problem with the way dressing a child like this and thenhaving them dance like that sexualizes them, and takes away their innocence??? These families need to be given court mandated therapy, individual, and family to undo the damage, if that is even possible, and a family plan needs to be put in to place to help the parents, as well as some parenting classes. My children were born perfect in every way! I don't want to know a child that knows how to work a crowd, model walk, and apply lipstick. Children should be running around the yard barefoot in the summer sun, blowing bubbles, and getting ice-cream from the ice-cream truck. They shouldn't be thinking about the proper way to walk, what they are going to say, do, or wear. They shouldn't be all consumed by the fear of making a mistake or what their moms, if you want to call them moms will say if they don't win. I'm going to get off my rant now, but this really does strike a serious nerve with me as a wife, mother, and a woman. I feel great sadness and worry for these children now and in the future!
this is one whole load of crap; the parents should be ashamed of themselves, but that would require some intelligence on their part
How is this legal? This is clearly child abuse! I'm surprised the woman doing the waxing doesn't refuse! What is wrong with people? I'd love to slap the sh*t out of the mother! loser!
This Mom should be behind bars, and I use the term Mom only because she gave birth to this precious child. This woman is living her dreams through her little girl. Someone please call CPS for this child.
Abuse to the highest degree. Please call CPS.
This is so beyond abusive to that poor little girl. Just cause her mom couldn't make it into pageants does not mean she should force her daughter into them. She should be dumped into a vat of wax and have it all peeled off every ounce of skin on her body! And the person who did the waxing should be brought up on charges too! As an enabler of child abuse!
id drop kick the mother, elbow to head and then pluck her brows out with hedge trimmers ..lmao
Just rename the show, "Creepy Parents Who Need Psychiatric Attention". Children's beauty pageants are just wrong, I can only imagine the perverts who love love love to attend them.
well as long as ignorant people keep watching ie ... jersey hoe it will keep on going... o wonder we are so hated by other countries
how could a parent do that to her child .very wierd dont u think?
are you kidding me?!?! that is hard to watch and that stupid mother and dumb ass comment at the end of clip..."hold her down and rip it off" i'm really tired of these networks with these types of shows. ie: pregnant at 16, didn't know i was pregnant, i have 19 kids, i'm a hoarder. omg so over it. cw, okc

well as long as ignorant americans watch these shows ie jersey hoe, it will keep on going.. stupid reality shows o wonder we as a country are so hated..
Child abuse. And we make TV shows of it.
Totally agree! This show is allowing and most likely encouraging this type of behavior! Shame shame shame on TLC!
Call CPS!!!! This mother is a nightmare!
I feel that this is child abuse. The mother and the beautician should be prosecuted.
I have never watched this show but this episode just so happened to come on after a show I was watching and as I watched, I couldn't believe my eyes. These women are sick! I have never seen such cruelty in all my life. They treat these children like animals. I can't believe some of these mothers. I don't know how anyone can watch this and think that it's ok. A spray tan for a 15 month old baby, please! That mother should be in jail! They even considered putting fake nails on her. Then they gave her "secret juice" because she was "tired and didn't want to perform"! Secret juice = Coca Cola! She 15 MONTHS OLD! After watching this show for the first time last night, I am CONVINCED that this is child abuse. For the love of God, let these children be children! I am ready to start a revolution! TLC SHAME ON YOU!
Lets send a message to TLC: Here is the number for their Ethics in Programming 1-800-398-6395 These program directors are getting away with child abuse by even airing this. However what these self-centered mothers are doing is even worse. This show needs to be taken off the air!!!
Thanks for the info, Michael
Thanks Michael. :)
I agree the show should be off the air. Unfortunately, if TLC removes the show, it does not mean these mothers are going to stop. A small part of me was glad they aired these shows because it is solid proof what abuse these children go through. I didn't realize how sick these beauty pageant mothers watched one f the shows for about 5 minutes. God Bless
Oh, and in addition to removing the show and throwing the mother in jail, the lady doing the waxing should also get punished.
