Keith Richards won't join Mick Jagger on 'Saturday Night Live'

    By Patrick Doyle, Rolling Stone

When NBC announced that Mick Jagger would host and perform on the May 19th season finale of "Saturday Night Live," fans wondered whether the Rolling Stones would use the platform to stage their first live performance in nearly five years -- or at least make a cameo. But Keith Richards tells Rolling Stone that he won't be involved. "I spoke to Mick and he said it's something that he said yes to many months ago, so he's just doing it," Richards says. "He's on his own."

Mick Jagger will perform with Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire on 'SNL'

Will the guitarist be watching? "Probably," Richards says with a laugh.

News of Jagger's "SNL" gig -- which marks the singer's third appearance on the show, and his first as a host -- set off speculation among fans, some of whom wondered whether the Stones might use his appearance to announce their anticipated 50th anniversary tour. Jagger isn't promoting anything else currently (his last project, SuperHeavy, was released last September), and the Stones have staged rehearsals in recent weeks. However, Jagger is only confirmed to perform with Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters and Jeff Beck on the show.

Rolling Stones' 50th anniversary tour pushed back to 2013

Richards previously told Rolling Stone that the band will not tour in 2012 to mark their 50th anniversary. "Basically, we're just not ready," he said, adding that 2013 is the new goal. "I have a feeling that's more realistic … The Stones always really considered 1963 to be 50 years, because Charlie [Watts] didn't actually join until January. We look upon 2012 as sort of the year of conception, but the birth is next year."

But don't count Richards out of "SNL" completely. Stones plans often change at the last minute; Richards never announced that he was joining Jagger at 2001's Concert for New York, but he showed up, joining the frontman on "Miss You" and "Salt of the Earth."

'Saturday Night Live' goes retro with host Will Ferrell

    By Courtney Garcia, TODAY.com contributor

    Dana Edelson/ / NBC

Jason Sudekis played Joe Biden and Will Ferrell was George W. Bush in a skit on "Saturday Night Live."

Nostalgia hit as Will Ferrell returned to host “Saturday Night Live,” resurrecting his favorite routines and paying tribute to Mother’s Day while helming the latest edition of the variety show. He began by bringing out his mother for an opening monologue, thanking her for matronly good deeds such as making milk like “the lady on the cover of Time magazine.

Afterward, the blast from the past continued with appearances from guest “SNL” alums Ana Gasteyer in an LGBT prom, and Will Forte as an ESPN reporter. There was even a comic resurrection of Ferrell’s epic sneeze when he and Kristen Wiig posed as husband and wife in a spoof Nasaflu commercial. “That sneeze is outrageous!” Wiig complained as Ferrell stalked her around the house, grunting every two seconds. “Just sneeze like a normal person!”

The actor also reprised his role as George W. Bush, opening the broadcast with a parody of President Barack Obama (Fred Armisen) and Vice President Joe Biden (Jason Sudeikis) hashing out gay marriage.

“(Obama’s) a real buzz-kill,” Ferrell said as Bush, Biden’s “imaginary friend.” He then delved into his own theories as a political chief: “Mission accomplished! … It's just something I say when a problem isn’t solved but I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”

Ferrell had some memorable lines, but it was primarily his return to the show that had most people talking, along with an all-star digital short to commemorate the 100th edition of the mini-film series. The video – which featured all of the stars of the previous shorts -- became the buzz of the viral community when a pop-meets-rap-meets-R&B mock jingle that featured Justin Bieber, Natalie Portman, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jon Hamm and Michael Bolton came to life through rap-sung harmonies.

Liam Neeson made a cameo on “Weekend Update” and answered questions about his new film, “Battleship,” with a fake Nicolas Cage played by Andy Samberg.

“I have a particular set of skills that make me a nightmare for people like you,” joked Neeson, explaining why he was selected for the role over Cage.

Noticeably absent was a throwback to Ferrell’s classic skit “Celebrity Jeopardy,” which many fans had been pining for. Also missed was the rest of the cast, who played mere minor roles compared to returning vets.

When the regulars resurfaced in a dance skit toward the end, Billboard magazine contributor Kevin Rutherford tweeted, “This sketch is called, "Hey, we have other people on this show, let's give them a chance to have some lines tonight!" #snl”

With Ferrell manning the helm, overall, the feel was retro-cool.

The 36-year-old actor takes the plunge into his family’s history on the documentary series and he’ll be shocked by what he finds. One of the first familial trails he’ll follow is that of his paternal grandfather. He died when Sudeikis’ father was still a child, leaving his grandmother with their two children. But upon some digging, the actor finds out that he was absent from their lives way before his passing.

In The Hollywood Reporter’s first look at the episode, it seems as if Sudeikis’ grandmother chose to keep several details of her marriage a secret. But, court documents will reveal a startlingly different image of the actor's grandfather than the one he had grown up with.

'SNL' cooks up laughs with jab at New Jersey 'tanning mom'

    By Courtney Garcia, TODAY.com contributor

In a moment everyone hoped for, “Saturday Night Live,” parodied the “tanning mom” on its broadcast Saturday evening, and the startling truth was exuberantly received. Kristen Wiig’s caricature of Patricia Krentcil, New Jersey’s golden parent, arrived fittingly trailed by a cloud of smoke, and provided several raucous one-liners as part of the show’s, “Weekend Update.”

"Trust me, there are many men in New Jersey that would love to snap into this Slim Jim," Wiig joked to host Seth Meyers, as she periodically gasped for air, being “dried up” and all. “I have the look everyone dreams of: Wile E. Coyote right after something blows up in his face.”

Video: 'Tanning mom' burned up about criticism

Before she left, Wiig also taught Meyers a trick, waving around a slice of wheat bread. “Piece of bread, put it between my thighs ... toast!”

Praised by online “tanorexic” disdainers, the only disappointing part of Wiig’s performance was that she didn’t seem to cake on quite enough orange.

Gwen Wright ‏tweeted, “Thank you SNL for making fun of NJ tanning mom -- she has it coming! #SNL"

Video: Bronzed mom pleads not guilty to tanning daughter

“The sad thing is Kristen Wiig wasn't even close to being tan enough on @nbcsnl to pass as the "tan mom" #SNL,” wrote Courtney Eagle.

Out of his astro-turfed comfort zone yet supported by his “offensive lineup,” New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning served as host for the evening, convincing football and TV fans alike that he can surprisingly win as a comedian. He began his opening monologue by focusing on the adjustment to New York City living, playing unofficial tour guide by taking questions from cast members in the audience inquiring about local hotspots.

“There’s a great place called the Olive Garden. You have to go to New Jersey, but it’s worth it,” Manning said, suggesting a spot for Italian dining.

For fun things to do, the Super Bowl champion advised, “Get some bulky shopping bags and three of the fattest kids you can find, then walk hand-in-hand through Times Square, slow as hell.”

Of course, it wasn’t a complete sell. Some thought the jock was noticeably awkward, he himself pointing out the gig was “out of my element;” others saw him as “cute.” Manning’s faux public service announcement for the “Little Brothers Program,” a nonprofit dedicated to “overcoming adversity, especially when that adversity is an older brother,” was a highlight of the athlete’s performance, also allowing him to get in a dig at his own famous sibling, who’s hosted in the past.

    Follow @TODAY_Clicker

On Manning’s overall routine, ESPN reporter Travis Haney ‏tweeted, “Kinda what I anticipated from the whole show '@Trey_Scott: Eli I love you, but that was so awkward #SNL.'"

Sasha Baron Cohen, in character as fictional ruler Aladeen from the new film, “The Dictator,” made a surprise cameo alongside Martin Scorsese, appearing on “Weekend Update.” The adversarial ruler showed up to prove, at any cost, his upcoming movie was a hit.

“I am box-office uranium,” claimed Cohen, reading a bloodied letter allegedly from New York Times critic A.O. Scott, calling the satirist’s movie “the best film I have seen in the last 10 years,” after being glued, or “nailed,” to his seat.

When Meyers refused to believe the scheme, Aladeen wheeled out a kidnapped Scorsese, shocking him into professing glowing feedback.

Other highlights from Saturday’s show included a parody of erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which was centerfold for a racy Mother’s Day commercial where dads surprised their wives with generic gifts, only to discover them in compromising positions with the book. A Swedish mock-show of “Chelsea Lately” had audiences divided as to whether it was the best or worst sketch ever, and Rihanna caused a stir during her performance of “Birthday Cake” and “Talk That Talk,” which many felt was too provocative.

National Post sports columnist Bruce Arthur wrote on Twitter, “My, Rihanna certainly just tapped at her ladyparts area more than most Saturday Night Live musical guests.”

Rihanna called in sick to 'SNL' rehearsal

“SNL” paid brief tribute to the Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch, who died May 4, showing a clip from the group’s past performance on the show.

Jimmy Fallon's 'SNL' audition tape makes an excellent first impression

    By Randee Dawn

"I'm going to do some celebrity impressions." Talk about your low-key, understated introductions! That's how Jimmy Fallon's 1998 audition for "Saturday Night Live" kicked off, with a statement that doesn't even come close to describing the following eight minutes of Fallon hilariously hitting the nail on the head again and again.

Back in 1998, Fallon was just another rising comic, but the future "Late Night" host and Slow Jammer clearly knew his craft and his strengths. He started off with a "celebrity walk-a-thon" with John Travolta, Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock, then segued into original characters like "Double Take Guy" and "Wannabe Composer."

About six minutes into the audition, once he got the expected stuff out of the way, Fallon hit his stride by picking up a guitar, noting, "I also do a lot of musical impressions, but I'm going to make them short for you." Short they may have been, but they were also some of the funniest stuff he did. He slid from U2's Bono gasping at the start of "Desire" to The Cure ("My tears are like hydrochloric acid, it burns my face") to The Wallflowers ("Everybody knows that I'm Bob Dylan's son; that's how I got to open for the Stones") and Alanis Morissette ("My voice is annoying; my video's boring").

    Follow @TODAY_Clicker

The "SNL" bigwigs clearly agreed they had something special with Fallon, and he was hired to work on the 1998-99 season.

'SNL' spoofs coverage of Trayvon Martin case

Taran Killam played Piers Morgan, with Jay Pharaoh as Kanye West and Nasim Pedrad as Kim Kardashian on "Saturday Night Live."

    By Courtney Garcia, TODAY.com contributor

"Saturday Night Live" took jabs at Piers Morgan, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and “Game of Thrones" Saturday night, but it was cast member Jay Pharaoh rather than host Josh Brolin who earned the most buzz.

In a controversial skit, cast member Taran Killam reprised his role as news commentator Morgan, and discussed the controversial Trayvon Martin case with a slew of famous figures, including Ozzie Guillen (played by Brolin), West (played by Pharoah), and Kim Kardashian, played by Nasim Pedrad.

“I feel for (Martin),” West said. “Maybe it’s just the black man in me.”

Replied Kardashian, “I also know what it feels like to have a black man in me.”

The sketch had viewers torn. Many posted angry remarks saying tackling the Martin case crossed the line. Others enjoyed the spoof of West and Kardashian, as well as the take on over-sensationalized media.

And a certain talk-show host himself now wants to get in the game.

Tweeted the real-life Piers Morgan, “I think it's time I hosted #SNL -- they're using me every week for ratings anyway. May as well get paid for it... Lorne?”

Pharoah started to earn raves beginning with host Brolin's opening monologue, when he joined the actor for a spoof of Brolin's upcoming film, "Men in Black 3," with Pharoah playing Will Smith to Brolin's Tommy Lee Jones. For Pharoah, who hasn’t played as prominent a role in past episodes, it may have been a career-defining moment.

Wrote viewer Evan Pellegrino on Twitter,“Jay Pharoah's first break on #SNL. You're officially a cast member buddy.”

Terry Lusk added, “Jay Pharoah gettin' a lotta love tonight. Brolin merely average. #snl.”

In one of the night's most-buzzed-about skits, “Booker T. Washington Prom,” Pharoah played a principal who interrupts a dance to reprimand students for spiking the punch and bringing an iguana as a date.

Brolin, acting as a drunken teacher, had the line of the night. “Let's have a “Hunger Games”-themed prom with no food, and lots of weapons.”

Additional highlights from the show included Steven Spielberg’s appearance in a digital short pitch for “Laser Cats 7;” a spoof of sex scenes in the HBO series, “Game of Thrones;” and a parody of high school parodies, where everyone got their moment to stroll in the hall of slow motion.

Musical guest Gotye’s performance divided some viewers. The emerging Australian act had some singing praises, and others wondering whether they’d missed something.

Tweeted New York Times cultural reporter, Dave Itzkoff, “Gotye, I didn't getye. #SNL.”

'Hunger Games' becomes 'Funger Games' on 'SNL'

    Follow @TODAY_Clicker
    By Courtney Garcia, TODAY.com contributor

Sofia Vergara tackled sketch comedy Saturday when the "Modern Family" star hosted “Saturday Night Live."

Vergara began by getting a few things off her chest, literally. Stepping out in a leather bustier and skirt, Vergara’s opening monologue poked fun at her journey from Colombia to the States, where men welcomed her with “opened arms and dropped-down pants.”

She then elaborated on the obvious.

“Forgive me if you don’t understand what I say, and I’ll forgive you for staring at my chest the whole night,” joked the actress, whose feature film, “The Three Stooges,” hits theaters April 13.

This week also featured the debut of the show’s first openly lesbian castmate, Kate McKinnon, who portrayed Penelope Cruz alongside Vergara in a spoof of a Pantene Pro-V commercial. The two made fun of Latin allure, their indiscernible accents getting in the way of their good looks and wind-blown hair.

Vergara’s parody of blockbuster book and movie “The Hunger Games" featured the actress playing a sideline reporter covering the fantastical battle -- and exposing numerous contestants to death as she yanked them aside for interviews.

"They should call it The Funger Games because everyone is having so much fun!" Vergara's character announced.

But according to fans who later took to Twitter, it was a mock DiGiorno Pizza commercial that proved the standout sketch of the night. “Almost Pizza” challenged the mysterious substances contained in those frozen foodstuffs, and had some viewers likening the skit to other "SNL" classics.

Bloomberg News food critic Ryan Sutton tweeted, “Almost Pizza' ranks with Quarry, Taco Town & John Belushi's Little Chocolate Donuts as SNL's best ever criticisms of processed foods.”

TV critic Ryan McGee agreed, tweeting,‏ "’Almost Pizza’ had me dying. That was a perfect 60 seconds of comedy. #SNL”

Teen pop act One Direction, clad in color-coordinated outfits, were the musical guests.

Paula Deen spoof, Seth Meyers kiss steal the show on 'SNL'

    NBC

    By Courtney Garcia

Oscar nominee Jonah Hill may have fallen flat as host of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” but the minute-long man smooch between Seth Meyers and “Stefon, the City Correspondent,” as well as the energetic spoof of Paula Deen on Weekend Update seemed to have made up for it with the crowd.

The first standout from Saturday’s show came as a mock interview between Deen and Meyers, when “SNL” cast member Kristen Wiig took on the satirized celebrity chef, showing off her best twang in a honkey-tonk discussion of Deen’s recent plights.

"It’s been a doozy of a year,” Wiig, a.k.a. Deen, told Meyers on the news parody segment. She went on to elaborate about her latest health scare, commenting that she was “hit by the sugars” -- (diabetes) -- and also addressed the developing lawsuit accusing Deen’s brother of using the n-word with employees.

“Which one are you talking about? There are a lot of n-words,” Wiig asked, stroking her hair with a stick of butter in one hand, and a drumstick in the other.

Trying to refrain from laughter, Meyers replied, “The bad one.”

“Like nutrition? Nutrition is pretty bad,” answered Wiig. “I would rather diet and exercise than use the n-word.”

Soon after, Meyers brought out everyone’s favorite guest reporter, Stefon, and requested a rundown of good places to visit when New York gets warmer. After discussing a club called “Thank You” located inside a “crashing blimp,” the flamboyant correspondent advised Meyers on hot spots for March Madness and St. Patrick’s Day, giving him a sticker that said, “Kiss me, I’m Irish.” Then instantly, he went in for the kill.

A long-awaited moment for the two, it was comic revelry that had everyone in tears.

Maria Gonzaleztweets, “That Seth Meyers and Stefon kiss has been the best thing about tonight. #SNL.”

Gina Russilloalso writes on Twitter, “Stefon finally got his kiss with Seth! I'm still recovering from laughing so very hard. Another win.”

Adds Alexander Clayton, “Stefon was about the best thing on #SNL tonight, that and Kristin Wiig as Paula Deen. Everything else....meh.”

While Hill, whose new film “21 Jump Street” hits theaters March 16, did find some supporters of his performance, he was admittedly upstaged by the fact he seemed to have gained all the weight back he recently lost. He opened wearing a tailored black suit, and offered a few words of resentment over his Oscar loss to Christopher Plummer. Nominated for his role in “Moneyball,” Hill additionally poked fun at how the honor had affected his attitude with a short accompanying video, and was interrupted towards the end of his stint by a cameo appearance from Tom Hanks, who spouted off on how winning two awards had similarly given him a big head.

    Follow @ msnbc_ent

“When I won my second Oscar, I had to ask my wife to sleep on the couch to make space,” Hanks joked.

The veteran star may have saved his younger protégé from a lackluster entrance, but it was the “SNL” regulars who kept the momentum alive this Saturday. Hill was able to pull in a few other laughs for his sketches as a scientist studying apes with an unusual fetish, and in an amusing remake of Coolio’s hit song, “C U When U Get There,” but viewers were quick to complain about his obvious reading of cue cards. An increasingly common blunder, Lindsay Lohan drew criticism for doing the same thing when she played host.

And finally, what was with the news ticker scrolling across the screen the whole show? The distraction was definitely unfortunate.

From 'SVU' to 'SNL': 'Law & Order's' Hargitay wants a shot at late-night laughs

    Stephen Lovekin / Getty Images

"Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay would welcome the opportunity to show off her comedic skills on "Saturday Night Live."

    By Marc Malkin, E! Online

    Listen up, "Saturday Night Live"!

We think it's time you let Mariska Hargitay host!

As we first told you last month, Hargitay's "Law & Order: SVU" co-star Ice-T has started an informal campaign to land her the coveted gig. We even started a Twitter campaign ( #mariska4SNL ) to help him out.

But does TV's toughest detective even want to do it?

READ: "Mariska should host 'Saturday Night Live,'" says co-star Ice-T

"My real personality is more 'Saturday Night Live' than Olivia Benson," Hargitay said Sunday at a benefit for her Joyful Heart Foundation at the House of Blues in West Hollywood. "Ice is always like 'Damn, I don't know how you got on this show. You should be on 'SNL.' So they always talk about it on set."

Hargitay refuses to get her hopes up too high.

    Follow @TODAY_Clicker

"I did want (to host) for a long time," she admitted. "You know, if I do it, great. If I don't, I'm fine. It's such a compliment that my coworkers even think that I would be worthy enough."

    Well, we think so, too!

In much more serious business, Hargitay created the Joyful Heart Foundation eight years ago to raise awareness around the issues of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.

This weekend's event honored legendary baseball manager Joe Torre.

"To see a man--the strongest man, the most macho man, and I use that in the best way--to see him take a stand and say, 'Enough is enough'...that will make other men stand up," Hargitay said. "It will change lives."

    PHOTOS: Do-Gooder Gallery

Among her celeb friends who attended were Jodie Foster, her L&O costars Danny Pino and Diane Neal, Sandra Oh, Kim Raver, Christine Lahti and Greg Kinnear.

Would you watch Hargitay on "SNL" if she ever lands the hosting gig? Vote in our poll below and share your thoughts on our Facebook page.

Do you think Mariska Hargitay would make a good "SNL" host?

Did Lindsay Lohan's 'SNL' performance doom her movie comeback?

    NBC

Lindsay Lohan on "Saturday Night Live" March 3.

    By Courtney Garcia

From her bleached blonde locks to trouble with her lines, Lindsay Lohan's "Saturday Night Live" performance has been critically slammed. Some say the performance could have helped her along the road to a presumed movie comeback, but the negative reviews now have many wondering if that will ever happen for the troubled young star.

The 25 year-old actress, who has spent recent years in and out of court and rehab as a result of drug-related issues, began the NBC sketch show Saturday night with an opening monologue mocking her arrests.  She also played herself in a spoof of prison-warning show "Scared Straight." But not everyone thought the self-deprecating humor worked.

After Jimmy Fallon joked that “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm, who also appeared on the show, was in the audience as a backup plan, some wanted that plan to be implemented.

Journalist Touré, an msnbc contributor, ‏wrote on Twitter, “Lindsay hasn't made me laugh yet. For an actress, she's not doing well. Can we still replace her with Jon Hamm? #SNL.”

Hamm may not have jumped in as host, but his multiple appearances throughout the show drew comparatively positive reviews. The film and television actor was a guest on TODAY Monday and defended Lohan's performance.

“I thought she did a great job,” replied Hamm. “There was so much scrutiny and so much pressure on her, but she handled it with grace and aplomb.”

Host Al Roker also questioned Hamm on the criticism Lohan attracted. "I was sitting right there and I thought she did a good job," the "Mad Men" star told the host.

The actress earned praise in the past for roles in 1998's "The Parent Trap" and 2004's "Mean Girls." She's reportedly set to play Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime movie, "Liz & Dick." In TODAY's exclusive interview with Lohan last week, the actress said she was ignoring those who doubted her, and wanted to focus on work and "move forward with my life."

But it's hard to find a critic who wholeheartedly felt Lohan's performance showed that she's ready to headline a major film.

“Letting Lindsay Lohan host "Saturday Night Live" was a mistake,” wrote Mike Ryan on The Huffington Post. “And that isn't anything against Lohan, her well documented escapades or her hopeful recovery. The fact is she just wasn't ready. It was apparent that the cast and the writers didn't particularly trust her (and why should they?) since they relegated her to backup duty in pretty much every sketch.”

Tweeted David Poland, “Lindsay Lohan may have removed whatever questions there were about her future acting career with painful “SNL” performance.”

Lindsay Lohan returns to 'SNL,' and gets lots of support from the cast. Sort of.

    By Denise Hazlick

Lindsay Lohan made her return to "Saturday Night Live" last night, and right from the start, she was greeted with nothing but support from the cast. Well, kind of. As she began her opening monologue, she addressed her legal troubles head on.

“I want to thank all the people at SNL who trusted me to have me back,” Lohan said, and then, as she stepped off the stage to continue her remarks, a siren and red light flashed, signaling that her ankle monitor had been triggered,

“Wait! So the alarm goes off if I leave the stage?" she said. "I thought it was only if I left the studio. I thought you guys trusted me!”

Enter Keenan Thompson, who offers words of support and reassurance, and to check her pupils. Then Kristen Wiig came out to encourage her as well and tell her that “everyone here believes in you, everyone! We wouldn’t have you back otherwise.” She then gives Lohan a big hug  … and proceeds to pat her down.

"Kristen, are you searching me?” Lohan asked, to which Wiig responds “no, no, I’m, ah, I’m a lesbian now.” Lohan’s retort? “Been there, done that.”

After Wiig declared her clean, Lohan said: “Maybe it was too soon for me to come back,” which prompted Jimmy Fallon to come out and remind her that everyone deserves a second chance and the staff has full faith in her, but …  Jon Hamm (making a guest appearance) was on hand to take over as guest host, just in case.

After the opening, the show cut to a video spoof of the "Real Housewives" franchise with "The Real Housewives of Disney," featuring Belle (Abby Elliott) from "Beauty and the Beast," Snow White (Vanessa Bayer), Jasmin (Nasim Pedrad) from "Aladdin," Rapunzel (Lohan) and the hot-mess Cinderella (Kristen Wiig).

"You guys are like stepsisters to me -- except not the evil kind," Rapunzel (Lohan), tells her fellow princesses, before shooting Wiig's Cinderella an evil glance.

The best line of the skit, however, was saved for Elliott's Belle. “At least I didn’t marry a beast!” said Snow White, to which Belle replied “His name is Kelsey Grammer!”

Lohan also found some laughs in her brief period of incarceration, playing herself in a spoof of "Scared Straight."

Upside of Lindsay Lohan on 'SNL' was classic 'Debbie Downer' sketch

    By Kurt Schlosser

Lindsay Lohan returns to host "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, and one of the upsides of that is Jimmy Fallon reminding us of a classic "Debbie Downer" sketch featuring the actress in 2004.

Lohan stopped by "Late Night" Thursday to talk about "SNL" and Fallon brought up the first ever airing of "Debbie Downer," a sketch starring Rachel Dratch as a character who always kills the happy mood of gatherings with bad news and negative facts.

Some of "SNL's" funniest moments come when the cast members can't control their own laughter during a bit, and this particular sketch featuring a family reunion at Disney World is a prime example. Lohan and Fallon both lose it along with cast members Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz and Fred Armisen.

The actors were defenseless against every wounded trumpet sound and close-up of Dratch's tortured face as she killed the buzz of Disney with talk of global warming, terrorism and a train explosion in North Korea.

    Watch the full sketch here:

"I was trying not to laugh," Fallon told Lohan on Thursday. "I know you were, but it made it worse," she replied.

Let's hope Lohan and the "SNL" gang can capture another moment to remember this Saturday.
