Maggie gets a bigger role in 'Walking Dead' season 3

By Lesley Goldberg, The Hollywood Reporter

    Bob Mahoney / AMC

Lauren Cohan as Maggie on "Walking Dead."

"The Walking Dead's" Lauren Cohan is a real survivor.

The actress, who plays Hershel's fierce daughter, Maggie, has been upped from her recurring role to a series regular for the upcoming third season of AMC's zombie drama, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

More from THR: Glen Mazzara and Robert Kirkman spill on bloody finale

As first reported by TV Line, Cohan will have a larger presence in Season 3 of the series, based on the comics created by Robert Kirkman.

Maggie survived the bloody second season, escaping the burning farm with Glenn (Steven Yeun) and reuniting with the group as Glenn (finally) professed his love for her. In the long-running Image/Skybound comic series, Maggie continues to be a force to reckon with and a loyal partner to Glenn.

Photos from THR: Behind the scenes of 'Walking Dead' season 2

Season 3 will mark "Walking Dead's" biggest season to date and consist of 16 episodes, with the season split in two runs of eight episodes apiece as the lost group inches closer toward a mysterious prison.

With Cohan's promotion and the addition of legendary comic character Michonne -- to be played by "Treme's" Danai Gurira -- Season 3 is shaping up to be a big one for the ladies of "The Walking Dead."

Don Draper eats brains on 'Walking Dead Mad Men'

It's no secret that Don Draper loves a good Old Fashioned on "Mad Men," but brains? Yeah, not so much, unless you're referring to the smarts of his staff at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce.

But in the spoof "Walking Dead Mad Men," the ad man and his staff exhibit quite the appetite for prime cuts of human in a mashup of the drama with zombie hit "The Walking Dead." And of course, the video wouldn't be complete without "Walking Dead's" Rick, Lori and, wait ... Where's Carl?!

'Walking Dead' season finale shatters record ratings

By Lesley Goldberg, The Hollywood Reporter

    Gene Page / AMC

"The Walking Dead" finale not only took out Hershel's farm, but it smashed its own ratings record.

Sunday's bloody and shocking episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" shattered its own basic-cable ratings records for a second time this season.

The zombie drama, based on the graphic novels created by Robert Kirkman, drew 9 million total viewers, including 6 million in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo, 5.3 million in adults 25-54 and 3.2 million in 18-34; the demo numbers topped basic-cable records set by February's Season 2 midseason premiere. That episode, which followed the show's two-month hiatus, drew 8.1 million total viewers, 5.4 million in 18-49 and 4.4 million in 25-54.

More from THR: Glen Mazzara and Robert Kirkman spill on bloody finale

The episode was up more than 50 percent in total viewers compared with its Season 1 finale. Including repeats at 11:30 p.m., the installment drew 10.5 million total viewers.

The February numbers topped another mark set by October's 90-minute Season 2 premiere. That episode, which followed a nearly one-year wait after the six-episode freshman season of the drama starring Andrew Lincoln, marked a then-record for any drama in basic-cable history in the demos; it drew 4.8 million in 18-49 and 4.2 million in 25-54, shattering a nearly 10-year-old mark in the demos.

More from THR: 'Walking Dead' casts sword-wielding heroine Michonne

In the episode, the survivors learned the results of the Season 1 cliffhanger: what Jenner (Noah Emmerich) whispered to Rick (Lincoln) at the CDC before its dramatic explosion. In addition, the final moments introduced the location of the third season -- the highly anticipated prison featured in the comics -- as well as the introduction of the iconic heroine, Michonne (Danai Gurira), featured in the series.

Sunday's finale was up drastically over the "monumental" penultimate episode, which featured the heavily hyped (and somewhat anticipated) departure of Shane (Jon Bernthal). It drew 6.9 million total viewers and 4.6 million in 18-49, with 4.1 million in the 25-54 metric.

Sunday's record ratings come as Kirkman faces a lawsuit from childhood friend Tony Moore over financial compensation to the lucrative franchise.

More from THR: 'Walking Dead' finds its governor

AMC announced in January that the third season of the series, topped by showrunner Glen Mazzara, will expand to 16 episodes. Season 3 of "The Walking Dead" will begin in October.

Some ratings highlights from the series:

    • Season 2 finale, 3/18/12: 9 million total viewers, 6 million in 18-49, 5.3 million in 25-54

    • Season 2 midseason premiere, 2/12/12: 8.1 million total, 5.4 million* in 18-49, 4.4 million* in 25-54

    • Season 2 premiere, 10/17/11: 7.3 million total, 4.8 million* in 18-49, 4.2 million* in 25-54

    • Season 2 midseason finale, 11/27/11: 6.6 million total, 4.5 million in 18-49, 3.9 million in 25-54

    Follow @TODAY_Clicker

    • Season 1 finale, 12/5/10: 6 million total, 4 million in 18-49, 3.5 million in 25-54

    • Season 1 premiere, 10/31/10: 5.4 million total viewers, 2.7 million in 18-49

Who survived 'The Walking Dead' finale bloodbath?

    Gene Page / AMC

Not everyone made it off the farm alive on "The Walking Dead's" season finale. Pictured: Andrew Lincoln as Rick

    By Jenna Mullins, E! Online

Spoiler Alert: Obviously, an article about "The Walking Dead" finale will have spoilers about "The Walking Dead" finale. Don't continue reading if you don't want the details from this episode. You have been warned, so don't complain if you scroll past this point!

After two shocking, jaw-dropping, no-one-is-safe episodes, "The Walking Dead" ended its second season with a heart-stopping and, in a word, stressful season finale. And oh, was the blood flowing. At every moment of the hour, it seemed like no one was truly safe.

Well, "TWD" boss did warn us that there would be "more bloodshed" in the finale. Just how much bloodshed did we get?

MORE: Renewal news: NBC picks up "Grimm" for second season

We got a whole heck of a lot!

Holy zombies! Twitter probably said it best when "TWD" fans claimed that the first ten minutes of the finale had more zombie action than the past two seasons of the show! That might be a slight exaggeration, but holy heck were there a lot of walkers to worry about during the escape from the farm.

Just within the first 20 minutes of the episode, two Hershel family members bite it by, well, getting bit. And then eaten. The zombie horde descends upon the farm in waves after waves of walkers. Everywhere you looked ... zombies! What's a group of survivors to do?

Run like heck, that's what! After lots of shooting, fires, close calls and more shooting, everyone hauled off the farm. Everyone got away but Jimmy and Patricia. Andrea is left behind, but still alive. Unfortunately, she's facing a horde of zombies by herself, and her ammunition is running low.

But when we catch up with her later, Andrea is saved from certain zombie death by a mysterious cloaked figure who, check this out, has chained up armless zombies with him/her. Bada--? Yes. Creepy? Definitely.

We also finally learned what Dr. Jenner whispered to Rick at the CDC: everyone is infected. It doesn't matter if you get bit or scratched by a zombie: if you die, you become a walker. Rick told the group, who became angry with him for keeping that secret from them. Rick continued his honesty party by admitting to Lori everything that went down with Shane. Understandably, she did not take it well.

PHOTOS: "The Walking Dead's" OMG moments!

At night, with everyone huddled around a fire trying to survive the evening, Rick snaps when Carol starts questioning his leadership. He yells at them to try and do better, that he killed Shane for them, and challenges them to go on without him and "see how far they get." The episode ends with Rick proclaiming: "This isn't a democracy anymore." And then we pan up and away from the group to find ... a fortress? A prison? A place for safety? The setting for season three? Whatever it is, it's real, real close to the group of survivors.

That's a wrap on "The Walking Dead" season two! What did you think of the finale? Will the whole group turn on Rick? Who or what saved Andrea? Tell us on our Facebook page!

What was the biggest surprise of the episode for you?

'Walking Dead' boss: 'We're on a big killing spree'

By Lesley Goldberg, The Hollywood Reporter

    Matthew Welch / AMC

Some of these folks are already dead -- Sophia, Shane and Dale -- but will everyone make it out of season 2 alive? Not likely.

"The Walking Dead" heads into Sunday's Season 2 finale with the death toll mounting and showrunner Glen Mazzara promising even more losses for the group to come.

In the past two episodes Rick's group has lost two pivotal members in moral compass Dale and wildcard Shane, who were attacked by a walker and murdered, respectively.

"If you count up all the deaths, we're on a big killing spree here," Mazzara said Thursday during a conference call with reporters. "There's more bloodshed coming. These characters have felt that they are safe on this farm and they've been wrong. I guarantee there will be bloodshed."

While it's anyone's guess who will fall and how, THR takes a look at the 13 surviving members of the group to see who could be next to join Sophia, Dale and Shane as the group faces an incoming herd of zombies that promises to make for a bloody season finale.

THR video: Preview exclusive scenes from the season finale

Rick (Andrew Lincoln): No doubt the fearless leader will survive. After 94 issues of the comic, he's still chugging along -- only he may be missing a body part. Mazzara says the deaths on the AMC zombie series thus far have helped develop Rick the most. "[Shane's death] is a statement about our main character, that he's evolving as a person and as a leader and what he's willing to do," he says, noting that Rick killing his best friend was a lot messier than killing two outsiders who posed a threat to the group in the midseason return. Our vote: Totally safe.

Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies): While viewer backlash against Rick's wife is mounting -- "Can you watch Carl?" is almost becoming her catchphrase -- Mazzara told reporters that "nothing is over the line" for the writers, especially if the character's death is earned and it propels the story forward. When quizzed by reporters about the growing tide of viewers anxious to see her death, the showrunner noted that "no character is safe" and writers have "examined at different times killing every character." However, if the series could skip a major comic arc in Dale and Andrea's romance, it wouldn't be far-fetched to see the grating queen bee exit in a big shocker despite her comic death at the hands of The Governor. Our vote: Whack her!

Andrea (Laurie Holden): "If she makes it out of Episode 13, it will be interesting to see what she does," Mazzara says of the character, who this season -- after a romp with Shane -- has transformed from the cowering woman she once was. Following Dale's death, the group will need someone fighting to hold on to humanity, and with Andrea having taken up Dale's position -- and her continued presence in the comic -- the series still desperately needs her. Our vote: Survivor.

Daryl (Norman Reedus): Sans Shane, the group will need a No. 2. "If he survives the finale, I would certainly lean on that character heavily," Mazzara says of Daryl's Season 3 potential. "He's a viable leader and a viable No. 2. ... Daryl is the character, in a sense, that's preadapted to the world and most qualified to survive." Our vote: Just as safe as Rick.

More from THR: Robert Kirkman dishes on 'monumental event'

Carol (Melissa McBride): Hasn't she been through enough? The prolonged search for Sophia ended with Carol's daughter revealed to have been turned into a walker and under the group's nose in Hershel's barn the whole time. Plus you know you want to see her hook up with Daryl. On the flip side, promos for the epic zombie invasion in the finale have her literally pinned up against a wall. Our vote: No Carol, no Daryl. Keep her.

Carl (Chandler Riggs): "If he survives, Carl will grow up in a world where the pre-apocalyptic world will be a distant memory," Mazzara says. The lone kid on the show is put through the ringer in the comics and creator Robert Kirkman loves writing for him. Plus we already know he's an excellent shot, having put a bullet in zombie Shane with chilling ease. "We do want to see Carl grow into that badass [in the comics]," Mazzara told reporters. Our vote: Has to survive.

T-Dog (Robert "IronE" Singleton): If you blink, you may very well miss him in most episodes but Mazzara says his seeming lack of story line is intentional. "In our minds, he's very smart in that he keeps his mouth shut and doesn't draw anyone's attention ... his agenda has been to survive," the showrunner told THR. "There was an intention here of why this guy was quiet; in our mind, he is playing everything close to the vest. There's a method to our madness." As a reward for patient viewers, Mazzara teases some "horrific" stuff from T-Dog and "some reason to love" the character. Our vote: "Horrific" doesn't sound safe to us.

Hershel (Scott Wilson): "This is my farm ... I'll die here," Hershel says in a clip from Sunday's finale. He's lost his wife, had a suicidal daughter and has given Glenn his blessing in his romance with his eldest daughter, Maggie. While the character goes out at the Governor's hands in the graphic novels, it doesn't look very likely that Hershel will make it off his cherished farm. Our vote: Badass Hershel looks awesome but that shotgun can't have much ammo in it.

Glenn (Steven Yeun): The former pizza delivery guy is the group's go-to person for anything and everything (remember the well and the bloated zombie?). His ability to navigate through dangerous situations is a good one to have when the immediate future looks like this. Our vote: He's crafty enough to survive.

    Launch slideshow

More from THR: What really happened to fired showrunner Frank Darabont

Maggie (Lauren Cohan): She's trapped in a car with the undead closing in around her and has been unwilling to leave Hershel, pulling Glenn closer into the family fold. If Hershel isn't leaving ... could Maggie? Then again, why is she in the car in the first place? Our vote: Could go either way.

Beth (Emily Kinney): Hershel's youngest daughter has already come thisclose to suicide with a chunk of shattered mirror. After taking inspiration from Andrea to heart, she now appears to have found a reason to live. But what's her role with the group? Could she wind up playing third wheel to Glenn and Maggie? She already seems uninterested in a long-term future with Jimmy, her boyfriend at the time of the apocalypse. Plus what function does she serve with the group? Our vote: A goner.

Patricia (Jane McNeil): Otis' wife has been handy to have in medical emergencies and around the house but did she ever get that weapons training with the rest of the group? How equipped is she when it comes to fending for herself? Is she even willing to leave longtime friend Hershel's side? Our vote: A goner.

Photos from THR: Behind-the-scenes of 'Walking Dead' season 2

Jimmy (James Allen McCune): The scrappy farmhand seems to have become increasingly useful, learning to shoot and helping Rick and Hershel catch a walker early in the season. Other skills: Watching Carl and supporting Beth. He'd be a useful addition to the group were he to survive. Our vote: Keep him.

'Walking Dead' delivers a shocking death -- twice

    AMC

    By Drusilla Moorhouse, E! Online

    Deep breaths, "Walking Dead" fans.

We all had the wind knocked out of us from Sunday night's epic stunner of an episode.

So how about a little walk talk therapy--by reviewing the tragic events of "Better Angels"?

(Spoiler Alert: If you haven't seen this episode, do not read any further. Even if you were spoiled by AMC's accidental leak, nothing can prepare you for what went down Sunday night.)

MORE: Huge "Walking Dead" spoiler alert! AMC accidentally leaks major character's death on DVD ad

    Rick killed Shane!

It was a Shakespearean showdown between the alpha males on a meadow not far from Hershel's farm. There, under a full moon, Shane planned to murder his former partner "in cold blood" and resume his place as the group's leader, Lori's lover and father of her Carl and her (probably their) baby to come.

But the men weren't alone. Carl emerged from the shadows, pointing a gun at Rick. We'll never know whether Carl would've avenged Shane's death by patricide, because Shane rose from the dead behind Rick -- and Carl shot him instead.

    Matthew Welch / AMC

Shane died -- twice -- on Sunday night's show.

So what brought the trio to this tragic killing field? And what terrifying truth did the survivors learn from his and Randall's deaths?

MORE: "The Walking Dead" producer promises finale will be just as "jaw-dropping"

Well, first, Rick reasserted his leadership and with his new pal Hershel, marginalized and emasculated Shane. To "honor" Dale, Rick decided once again to free their prisoner rather than kill him. "It was the right plan first time around--just poor execution," Rick said. Was he actually blaming Shane for that epic fail?

At least Shane wasn't alone in questioning Rick's leadership. Andrea delivered the series' most satisfying smackdown after Deputy Grimes told her to babysit Shane while he drove miles away to "execute" Operation Release Randall 2.0. "I need to know that when I leave the farm all hell doesn't break loose," he told the feisty blonde, who snapped back: "Then maybe you should stop leaving." Preach it, sister!

MORE: "The Vampire Diaries": five things to expect from Thursday's epic "1912"!

Meanwhile, even though his father is still on the farm, Carl sought out Shane for solace, confessing that he stole Daryl's (Norman Reedus) gun and provoked and freed the zombie that attacked Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn). The only reason Rick himself even talked to his son is because Shane guilted him into it by saying, "Freeing that prisoner (is) more important to you than Carl." Rick basically told Carl to man up, whined that he is "tired," and begged his son to keep Daryl's gun -- symbolic of so much these past two episodes -- and help him protect the group.

Lori also approached Shane, tearfully apologizing (!) for not acknowledging how much he sacrificed to save her and Carl -- and admitting that Shane could be the baby's father. Whatever her motivation (Guilt? Fear that Rick wasn't as interested in protecting her family?), Lori's kindness and compassion gave Shane hope, however misguided, that she might choose him over her husband after all.

No wonder then that Shane snapped and made the rash decision to kill the prisoner, convince the others to go on a futile manhunt -- and murder his best friend.

MORE: Get more TV scoop in our Daily Spoiler Chat!!

Shane's impulsive plan was deeply flawed from the beginning: after the initial adrenaline, no one would really believe the prisoner (aka "the package" in one of the lines T-Dogg's was actually given this episode) really escaped from his handcuffs, stole out of the barn when it was still securely locked on the outside, overpowered Shane and took his gun.

Especially with Daryl tracking Randall's escape and reconstructing the crime, CSI style. If Shane had gone through with his plan to kill Rick, it was only a matter of time before the group deduced his guilt.

Even if you're Team Rick (ahem), you can't deny that Lori and Carl are Shane's first priority, while Rick's moral code drives him to abandon them to rescue others -- including redneck Merle, Hershel and the man who tried to kill him. He has a valid argument when he tells Rick at gunpoint, "I'm a better father than you -- better for you than Lori."

SNIFF: Our last interview with Jon Bernthal

Carl's own allegiances are clear: He was pointing the gun at his father long before Shane's corpse reanimated.

So while Daryl and Glenn determined that Russell's cause of death was murder by man, not walker, Rick and Carl also saw that Shane became a zombie without being infected by the undead. (Also hinted when Shane and Rick saw no bites or scratches on the dead guards at the school.)

Is this what Doc Jenner whispered to Rick at the CDC -- that everyone becomes a zombie no matter how they die?

What could possibly happen in next week's finale after this epic ending?

For those who weren't aware, the hit comic turned mega hit basic cable program, "The Walking Dead," is getting the video game treatment. Given how zombies are a staple of interactive entertainment, it's easy to imagine something along the lines of "Resident Evil," "Dead Rising," or "Dead Island." But this latest game to prominently feature the undead is a break from the norm.

Not much has been said about the game since its unveiling at last year's San Diego Comic Con, which is why its makers, Telltale Games, have produced the following behind the scenes video, which includes conversations with the people involved in its creation:

For those who don't have time to watch the 13-minute plus clip: things kick off with a sit-down with Jake Rodkin and Sean Vanaman, the two lead designers. They explain how the game is closer to the comic, which they view as "canon," though fans of the AMC show will be able to follow along.

Players will assume the role of a new character, Lee Everett, who is a criminal on his way to jail, but finds freedom thanks to the zombie apocalypse. Along the way, Everett becomes acquainted with a little girl named Clementine, who has been orphaned due to the outbreak. As a non-playable, secondary character, she is intended to be a "lens that you can see your choices [within the game] though, and the story in general" explains Vanaman.

The two form a family of sorts, a theme heavily reinforced in the source material. Series creator, Robert Kirkman, and his involvement in the project was also discussed. When Telltale Games pitched their ideas, Kirkman was happy to hear his original narrative was not being regurgitated, even though certain characters are reused.

The game, or the first episode at least, takes place immediately after the outbreak, while the lead from the comic and the show is still in a coma (both follow Rick after he wakes up, and tries to cope with a world that has changed). Kirkman was also happy with Telltale Games' emphasis on the story. As Vanaman states, "It's not a headshot game" — referring to the fact that it's not the usual zombie kill-a-thon.

The middle of the video, which contains massive spoilers from the comics, is actually the best part. It shows various members of the developmental team explaining their favorite parts from assorted issues, and in the process shows they completely understand and respect the source material, which is not often the case with many comic/movie/tv show adaptations.

The final segment deals with how the game will play, and that's where things become vague. There has been little word on what gameplay will be like, and that hasn't changed. Telltale Games is mostly known for producing adventure games. Two of their most well known creations are also based on pop culture staples: "Back To The Future" and "Jurassic Park."

The former played like a traditional installment of the genre, in which the emphasis is on exploration, talking with other characters, and solving puzzles. The latter mixes it up by having action oriented segments controlled via Quick Time Events. Response to "Back To The Future" has been mixed at best, whereas "Jurassic Park" has been universally panned by critics and players alike.

And just like those two games, the "Walking Dead" game will be episodic and distributed digitally. No release date has been given.

'Walking Dead' sneak peek: Shane gunning to be top dog?

Sure, the "lame brains" in Hershel's barn and the two new baddies were quickly dead and buried during the midseason premiere of "The Walking Dead," but if you thought that it means at least a brief period of smooth sailing for the veterinarian, his family and Rick's gang of survivors, it looks like you'd be wrong. Very wrong.

In a sneak peek of next week's episode, "Triggerfinger," that AMC shared with us first, it looks like Dave and Tony's pals are looking for their friends ... and trouble. Also, as show boss Glen Mazzara teased, it appears that the struggle between Rick and former BFF Shane for the position of top dog may be ramping up.

Yes, now you'll have more than your dog to turn to when something unbelievable happens on the small screen. "The Walking Dead" Story Sync is a web app on AMCtv.com that fans of the show will be able to use on their tablets or computers during the program to enhance the viewing experience and engage with other viewers in various ways.

Some of the features include votes on things that just happened on the show, a weekly kill count (of both humans and zombies, of course), graphics and detailed info of weapons and more, maps, trivia and instant replays of important scenes. Or for those of you who like to be chatty during the shows, the app will let you talk to your heart's content without bugging your viewing buddies who just want to quietly soak in the bloody action. The Story Sync web app will have a dedicated chat area where fans can watch "Dead" and gab at the same time. Check out the image above for a sneak peek of what the app will include.

Story Sync launches at 9 p.m. Sunday with the show premiere.

'Walking Dead' boss: It's going to be Rick versus Shane

Are you Team Rick or Team Shane?

By Susan C. Young, TODAY.com contributor

You knew a bucolic life on the farm just wasn’t going to happen for our zombie-fleeing band of survivors on "The Walking Dead," right?

In the aftermath of the gruesome gunning down of the zombies previously kept safe in Hershel’s barn during the midseason finale, life gets more complicated when the popular AMC series returns at 9 p.m. Sunday.

The impact of that massacre -- and of course the discovery and (second) death of zombie Sophia -- resonates through the second part of the season.

Rick will be questioning his leadership and ability to make tough decisions, while Shane sinks even further into his dark side.

And if they haven't already, viewers and characters alike will have to align with either Team Rick or Team Shane.

“That rivalry is certainly at the heart of the show,” producer Glen Mazzara confirmed. “Certain people feel Shane was right to break open the barn, but Rick’s the one who stepped forward and put down Sophia. You have these two alpha males sparring for position and we get a lot of great story out of that.”

We won’t spoil the ending of Sunday’s second-half premiere, but suffice to say Rick shows viewers he’s got some surprising moves in store this season.

And of course, the turmoil continues -- albeit on a different level -- for Sophia's mom, Carol.

“In Carol’s heart, she knew she would probably never see (daughter) Sophia again, or if she did, (Sophia) wouldn’t be alive,” said Melissa McBride, who plays the little girl's mother. “The minute (Sophia) comes out the barn, the unknown she put her faith into is gone.”

But don’t expect Carol to just become the grieving mom, though tears will be shed and anger expressed. She'll be in limbo as she tries to find strength in herself instead of looking to others to provide that for her, McBride told us.

And as the show moves forward from the child-in-jeopardy story line, Mazzara said more focus will be put on the evolution of Carol’s character. “This forces Carol to learn to stand on her own,” he said. “I think people will hopefully respond.”

One of the folks the distressed mom has turned to in the past was Daryl, who producers say became her “knight in shining armor” when he took up the quest to find Sophia. When his crusade failed with the opening of the barn's doors, that changed the dynamic of their relationship.

After this setback, Daryl will wonder why the heck he put himself out there in the first place, and withdraws when he realizes Carol has begun to change.

Despite all the trauma the characters have experienced, Steven Yeun, who plays goodhearted Glenn, believes this season will come down to the group coming out as stronger individuals.

“It’s come to blows and you have to make that choice,” he said. “(Our characters) have to finally decide (which way is right for them) and not just lean on whatever someone else tells them to do.”

If you haven’t been keeping up, you can get up to speed with this weekend’s “Dead” marathon. All six episodes from season one will air back to back Saturday night beginning at 8, with the first episodes of season two airing at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and continuing until the 9 p.m. mid-season premiere.

Whose character do you think will go through the most changes post-massacre? Tell us on our Facebook page!

New trailer for 'Walking Dead' return looks bloody good

    By Randee Dawn

    It's almost back!

Not from the dead, of course -- "The Walking Dead" was just having a little lie-down after its midseason wrap up ended with a serious series of bummers. But "Walking Dead" is set to rise again on Feb. 12 on AMC, and this too-short clip only teases just why it has viewers foaming at the mouth. Well, not literally.

Warning: As you might have guessed, this clip contains zombie-filled violence.

Looks like we're in for a lot more running, a lot more walkers, a lot more shooting and a whole lot more bloodletting. It takes brains to put together a show like this. Lots and lots of ... braaaaains.
